In September, 2019 my sister had a dirt bike accident and suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury. She recently asked me to make a totem for the Dr. that was instrumental in her healing. It took a whole team but he was the she believes recognized her needs the most. Every “bit” in the totem has meaning.
She fell
her brain broke.
She died
and found peace.
The love of her life breathed his heart into her
And strangers prayed on the mountain top.
In that grey area
between life and death
She chose to live.
…so far to go…
Right left one step
she began.

Reaching to know the things she knew before.
